The Altes Museum is one of five museums belonging to the Museumsinsel (Museum Island) complex in the heart of Germany's capital city, Berlin. Consecrated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1999, the Museum Island also comprises the Pergamon Museum, the Neues Museum, the Bode Museum and the Alte Nationalgalerie.
